We buy from a select group of fishermen who deliver their fresh caught fish to our processing plants daily.
The brief time period between harvest and processing allows for greater product quality control. This means our customers can enjoy optimal freshness, a longer shelf life, and high nutritional value.
Icy Strait works closely with fisherman and local communities throughout Southeast Alaska. Many fishermen work as family-based operations, where they have harvested seafood in the area for generations. Fishery participation helps support local community’s economies.
