At Icy Strait Seafoods we harvest three of of the major shrimp species found in Alaska. Our shrimp are pot-harvested in the icy cold waters of Alaska in the fall. Fisherman immediately head the shrimp before flash-freezing them at sea or flying them in on float planes for daily processing. This ensures peak freshness and flavor for our discerning customers.
Alaska spot shrimp have a sweet delicate flavor, and firm texture making them a tasty protein addition to any meal.
To ensure we are providing sustainably caught shrimp to our customers, we offer product traceability from the initial harvest area all the way to our customer’s door. Our shellfish is certified sustainable by Alaska’s Responsible Fisheries Management and by the Marine Stewardship Council.
